College of Engineering Awards Ceremony 2015
The College awards is one of the strategies instituted to acknowledge the special contribution from any of the three groups of collaborators -Students, Industrial Partners and Staff.
This year’s College of Engineering Students and Industrial Partners Awards being the third of its kind since September 2012 covers only the students and Industrial Partners. The Awards Covered Three Main Categories of our Undergraduate Students:
Agyeman Bernard Twum receiving an excellent student award
The Excellent Student Award given to any student who achieves a cumulative weighted average mark of 75.00 and above.
The Best Student Award given to students with the highest cumulative weighted average mark in the class at the end of the 2014/2015 academic year
Most Improved Student Award given to the student who made the highest incremental change in Cumulative weighted average.
There are also special students award that have been instituted by individuals or corporate bodies for students meeting certain with most having monetary value as well. Our industrial partners are key collaborators in our effort at improving the quality of students graduating from our programmes. This year’s industrial Partners awards geos to Odebrecht, Wood Group, Tropical Cable and Conductor Ltd. and Schlumberger for the Corporate division and Ing. Sam Eshun for the Individual Division awards. This was in acknowledgment of their critical role in assisting the college by providing places for students for their vacation training, donating additional equipment and accessories for teaching and learning, refurbishing some of our teaching facilities and sometimes offering Staff to teach us various courses.
