Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degree Programme
The programme has two key components: course work and original research leading to thesis.

Course Work
Master of Philosophy Programme (MPhil) includes course work in advanced chemical engineering. Candidates without chemical engineering background may be required to take some remedial courses alongside the prescribed courses for the MPhil programme (refer to page for MPhil Prescribed courses).

Assessment and Graduation Requirements
- Candidate requires a minimum of 48 and a maximum of 54 credit hours and pass a mandatory public defense of his/her thesis demonstrating mastery of the particular major field of study to graduate.
- Candidates without chemical engineering background ought to have passed all remedial courses.
- Candidates must successfully defend their thesis in an oral examination.
