Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degree Programme

Admission Requirements

Applicants must possess BSc Degree (First Class or Second Class upper division) in either Chemical Engineering or other engineering/science disciplines.

Course Work

Master of Philosophy Programme (MPhil) includes course work in advanced chemical engineering and research leading to a thesis. Candidates without chemical engineering background may be required to take some remedial courses alongside the prescribed courses for the MPhil programme (refer to page for MPhil Prescribed courses). 

Assessment and Graduation

Candidate requires a minimum of 48 and a maximum of 54 credit hours and pass a mandatory public defense of his/her thesis demonstrating mastery of the particular major field of study to graduate. Candidates without chemical engineering background ought to have passed all remedial courses.
